The integration of concepts dedicated to the sustainable development is today completely re-designing the strategies of synthesizing materials and molecules. In these approaches the main aim is to integrate the green chemistry principles (clean process minimizing solvents and atoms, non metallic catalysts (heterogeneous or not), non toxic materials, renewable resources) into the design and shaping of functional materials as well as to assess the life cycle and the reuse of the constituents.
