Due to the decreasing availability of fossil fuels and the greenhouse effect resulting from the increasing amount of CO2 in the atmosphere, it is necessary to find new ways to produce energy and to optimize the efficiency of its utilization. There is no single technology to solve this problem, but rather a set of potential solutions, each of which will contribute to the decrease of the overall consumption of primary energy resources.
