Composite Materials : Analysis of the microstructural defects and consequences on the modelling of durability - CADMO
It is expected that composite materials will be increasingly used for civil aircraft manufacturing. Polymeric matrix composites (PMCs) are foreseen to be used on a large scale for the reinforcement of structural parts such as for the large fuselage, whereas ceramic / ceramic composite materials (CMCs) could be placed in the hottest parts of the turbine engines.
